Daily Weather!

What’s the weather like today??
What is the temperature outside?
 In first grade I found that my kids still struggle with the concepts of “weather” and “temperature.”I was so excited because the other day as I was strolling through pinterest, I found the cutest pin to help with this!! However, when I clicked on the link, it didn’t take me to the webpage. :(
{Don’t you hate it when that happens?? }
Well, I loved the pin so much I decided that I would make a similar product to share with all you lovely friends out there! I tweaked the owner’s pin a little bit to make it work for my classroom and teach this concept a little better. (If you are the owner of the pin, please comment so I can give you credit!! I loved your idea!!)
This allows us to look at the weather and also determine the temperature daily! This way my students {and yours!} will hopefully understand the difference between the two words.
I am going to print this out on card stock and then paste it on black poster board to add a little border and then have my kids put a clip on the weather of the day and the temperature of the day! We will use this during our math meeting every day.
After our math meeting we will complete these bar graphs:
If you like paper to go the long way (and to fit it on one page), you might enjoy this!
Also exciting news!! A Day in First Grade is now on FACEBOOK!! Head on over there (click on the button) to follow me there!! I’ll be posting some extra freebies and news on there as well!!
I hope you all have a fabulous Saturday and enjoy this freebie!! :)

    I am so exciting for the freebies. U actually offer a lot of great surprises! I am truly blessed to have comed across ur pg. I’m also in a private school and struggle to plan and be more hands-on, as I am new and the only first gr teacher there.

  12. What do you let your early finishers do? I have a few boys who fly through morning work. I would love to do the math jobs in their math folders every morning.
