Later in the week we discussed Meteorologists and the tools that they use to study and measure weather. Then we made our very own wind socks. To do this we used giant construction paper and colored in a sequence of a storm. Some of my students sequenced thunderstorms while others sequenced a hurricane or tornadoes! After they finished their drawings, we added streamers to them and then tested them out!
Friday afternoon we culminated our weather unit with our tornado in a jar experiment. My students SQUEALED with delight when they saw the tornado!! It was PRICELESS!!
