A few years ago I started this little adventure in blogging and TpT. I never knew how immensely I would be blessed by both. Through blogging and creating products I have met some of my closest friends. The crazy thing is, I have still not met some of them, yet, they are the people who I call, text or message first about anything. These teaching friends “just get it.” They know what the day is like teaching and they understand our profession. They have made me a better teacher by their friendships and I am so grateful for them.
One of my first blogging friends was Lori from “Teaching With Love and Laughter.” This girl has seriously taught me everything I know about teaching children how to write. She has made me SUCH a better teacher. Her products are meaningful, engaging and so well done. She also is my go-to person for whenever my dog has a problem! She, like me, also has a Yorkie and she has helped me through every situation you can imagine.
In the classroom, my students LOVE using her products. Just last week in my guided reading groups, a group of students was working on contractions and her product came to my rescue!
Lyndsey, from A Year Of Many Firsts is another friend of mine who is seriously one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Her products are some of the best out there! She inspires me daily to be better at what I do. It’s really funny because even though we have never met, she has become one of my closest friends.
My class loves EVERYTHING Lyndsey does, but I have to say our favorite thing was her “first grade experts.” We still refer to “responsible Ryan and responsible Rachel.” My students still say things like, “____ you are being responsible, just like Ryan!!” It’s so sweet! Lyndsey’s posters and decor pack are also still all around my room!
Finally, Annie, from “The Moffat Girls” is another life-saver. She creates the best word work packets that my students ADORE. We use them at least once a week to practice our weekly spelling patterns. She is another sweetheart and I have loved getting to know her.
I have made so many more friendships that I am forever grateful for. I have TpT and blogging to thank for that. I also LOVE getting to share what I do in my classroom with all of you! Nothing makes me happier than hearing that YOU enjoyed an activity or a product that I made.
In order to pass on “the love” I’m teaming up with the girls from Freebielicious and am giving away a $10 gift certificate to TpT!
