Hi! My name is Kristen. I have been teaching for 13 years and still absolutely love it. I originally was born in CT and went to College in upstate New York at Elmira College. (GO EC!)
I taught in MA for five years before moving to TX.
I have also taught in the Dominican Republic. Actually, while I was in the DR I was serving as a resource teacher, teaching Dominicans, Haitians and Americans how to teach. It was a wonderful experience and one that I will never forget.
I have two younger brothers and my family lives on the East Coast. I miss them, but I sure do love Austin, TX!

Hi Kristen,
I loved reading your blog through Bloglovin. I have been teaching for 36 years. That time has just flown by. I thought I would share your quiet rabbit and bubble in your mouth with my pre-service teacher. She is doing her last practicum before finishing her degree.
I work in a disadvantaged school in the northern suburbs in Adelaide South Australia. Today I only had 10 students because we are having a particularly cold winter. I am trying to get some inspiration for dressing up as a book character for our Book Week assembly on Friday. With my spiky grey hair I could always go as Cruella De Ville!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas. The teaching profession needs passionate people like you !
Regards KK
